A holiday tradition from Christmas through early January in the Exumas
Each holiday season, Staniel Cay Yacht Club hosts a series of events from Christmas through New Year’s, bringing together guests, locals, and boaters for one of the most anticipated weeks of the year.
From holiday dinners and family events to Pirate Night, beach competitions, New Year’s Eve, and the Sunfish Challenge, each day offers something different in a relaxed, social setting.
Christmas Dinner
December 25 | 6 PM or 8 PM
Join us at Staniel Cay Yacht Club for a relaxed and festive Christmas dinner, a chance to gather, slow down, and enjoy the evening together.
We’ll offer a special holiday dinner prepared by our chef for the occasion.
December 29 | 4 PM – 6 PM
Bring the kids to SCYC for an early evening of pirate-themed crafts, games, and fun designed for younger guests.
It’s a great way for families to be part of Pirate Day before the evening events begin.

December 29 | Dinner at 6 PM or 8 PM
One of the most popular nights of Winter Carnival, Pirate Dinner & Costume Party brings together dinner, music, costumes, and a lively crowd at the club.
Costumes are encouraged, and prizes will be awarded for best dressed.
Long Drive Contest & Beach Cocktails
December 30 | 10 AM
Start the morning at the beach with our annual Long Drive Contest, a relaxed competition open to all skill levels.
Participants hit floating golf balls over the water while boat crews retrieve each shot, with Bloody Marys and mimosas nearby.

New Year’s Eve Dinner & Celebration
December 31 | Dinner at 7 PM or 9 PM
Ring in the New Year at SCYC with one of the most anticipated nights of the season.
Each year brings a new theme, setting the tone for a night of dinner, music, dancing, cocktails, and fireworks over the water at midnight.

New Year’s Day Sunfish Challenge
January 3 | Races begin at 10 AM
Start the new year on the water with the Staniel Cay Sunfish Challenge, a sailing tradition that brings together racers, spectators, and the local sailing community.
Teams compete across multiple heats, with prizes awarded for first, second, and third place.
