Kitchen Supervisor Position

The Kitchen Supervisor supports the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing the daily kitchen and food service operations. This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and efficiency while ensuring excellent guest service and smooth kitchen operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports the Food & Beverage Manager in the daily operation of the kitchen and food service areas. 
  • Supervises kitchen staff and assists in maintaining a productive and professional work environment. 
  • Ensures all food is prepared and presented according to hotel standards and recipes. 
  • Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout all kitchen and food preparation areas. 
  • Monitors food quality, portion control, and presentation standards. 
  • Assists in training, coaching, and developing kitchen employees. 
  • Ensures all staff follow proper food handling, hygiene, and safety procedures. 
  • Oversees proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food products. 
  • Monitors inventory levels of food products, kitchen supplies, and equipment. 
  • Assists with ordering supplies and receiving deliveries. 
  • Ensures kitchen equipment is properly maintained, and reports repair needs promptly. 
  • Creates and oversees kitchen cleaning schedules and daily task assignments. 
  • Assists with scheduling kitchen staff and coordinating shifts. 
  • Monitors food waste and promotes cost control and efficient use of supplies. 
  • Ensure compliance with all health, sanitation, and safety regulations. 
  • Assists with preparation and coordination for special events, banquets, and catering functions. 
  • Coordinates with the Food & Beverage Manager regarding menu preparation, staffing, and operational needs. 
  • Ensures food orders are prepared and delivered in a timely manner. 
  • Assists in resolving kitchen operational issues and staff concerns. 
  • Maintains high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction.

  • Conducting kitchen inspections 
  • Maintaining kitchen inventory and equipment 
  • Scheduling and coordinating staff shifts 
  • Monitoring food preparation efficiency and waste control 
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards 
  • Coordinating food preparation for guests, events, and functions
